The MiG-21bis is the ultimate third-generation development of the Soviet supersonic Mikyan-Gurevish MiG-221 interceptor and multirole fighter. Introduced in the 1970s, it featured major upgrades in engine power, fire control, and weapon compatibility compared to earlier variants.
Powered by a single Tumansky R-25-300 afterburning turbojet, delivering approximately 70 kN of thrust in reheat and high acceleration. Capable of reaching up to Mach 2.05 (over 2,200 km/h), using a classic delta-wing airframe with a horizontal tailplane, granting high initial nose-authority and maneuverability in tight "one-circle" dogfights, though it suffers from rapid energy and speed bleeding during hard turns.
A small internal fuel capacity limits its combat radius to roughly 370 km (about 750 miles total range), earning it a reputation as a short-range point-defence fighter. It has an internal belly-mounted 23 mm GSh-23L cannon with 250 rounds. It is also compatible with short-range infrared missiles including the R-3S, R-3R, R-13M1, and R-60 / R-60MK via expanded pylon options like the APU-60-2.

This is a Limited Edition Dual Combo kit featuring Soviet jet plane MiG-21bis in 1:72 scale. The famous 3rd generation supersonic Soviet fighter jet MiG-21bis in the service with the air forces of the USSR, Poland, Hungary, Finland, Iraq, Libya, Croatia, Cuba, India and Eastern Germany.
The kit offers markings for 10 aircraft used in different countries around the world. The box contains sprues for two complete kits.
