Mickey Thompson was an American auto racing builder and promoter who scarcely needs an introduction to automative sports fans. He competed in nearly every form of auto-sports including drag and off-road racing, Indy 500 and world land speed records. M/T as he was affectionally known, was as tough as shoe leather and so was an appropriate representative for the US Marine Corps. His sleek Grand Am Funny Car set the NHRA National Record for both elapsed time and top speed at the US Supernationals.
This rare Grand Am kit has never been reissued and is limited to 3000 units. This kit measures 30 cm long (over 11 inches). Highly detailed with over 100 plus parts. Parts come moulded in blue, grey, chrome and clear. Also includes tubing and wiring and newly tooled real rubber tires. Big Box and a Big Kit with plenty of detail. Instruction booklet. Officially licensed. Ages 14 and up Skill level 3.
