The North American Aviation P-51 Mustang is an American long-range, single-seat fighter and fighter-bomber used during World War II and the Korean War, among other conflicts. The Mustang was designed in 1940 by North American Aviation (NAA) in response to a requirement of the British Purchasing Commission. The D model Mustang with the bubble canopy is by far the most famous version of this U.S. fighter aircraft. Powered by a Rolls-Royce Merlin V-12 engine the aircraft was unrivalled as a bomber escort.
This kit features fully engraved panel lines and rivet details. It has a detailed cockpit and landing gear. There are two types of drop tanks included - 110 gallon and 75 gallon. There is an accurately reproduced 4- bladed propeller and spinner assembly.
The included decals are the stadard USAF as well as a second decal sheet with RAAF insignias.
The completed kit measures 132 mm long, 156 mm wide and 54 mm tall. There are 54 parts included.
Glue and paint are required but are not included.
