Probably the most popular wooden ship scale model has now been revived and improved. It is a 1:75 scale kit that is suitable for both beginners and advanced wooden modellers.
The Viking Ship is a scale model with a lot of history. Who has not been astonished to admire these sculptural ships in museums or movies and to think of the courage of its crew when navigating inhospitable and dangerous seas. The Vikings were the first Europeans to reach America several hundred years before Christopher Columbus!
The upgraded Viking Ship has been designed entirely using 3D CAD software and it includes everything needed for completion. The Viking Helmet have been laser cut using first quality linden. This ensures a precise and pleasant assembly. The hull is double-lined: a first with birch ladles and a second lining with sapelly veneer. The second liner is designed for beginner modellers because it hides any small errors in the first liner.
The kit also includes wood and metal decorations (like the two dragon heads) that give a distinctive touch to the model. A stand with nameplate has been included. And, as a tradition, a beautiful pre sewn colour sail is ready to be fixed to the mast.
The new Viking Ship kit includes a DVD for PC and MAC- with complete step-by-step colour instructions with additional commentary and explanations to enhance your enjoyment of the models construction. Because of the volume of accompanying photographs, there is no printed instruction sheet included, however the PDF documents can be printed out. The other advantage of the PDFs included in the DVD is the ability to zoom in and out without losing quality or definition. This way all details are clearly visible.
In addition, there are videos tutorials showing different techniques and shortcuts for wooden modelling.
This kit does not include glue, paint or tools - all will be necessary to complete the kit.
