This self adhesive Copper Tape (5mm) is perfect for replicating the waterline of old ship model hulls. The tape is 5mm wide and 50 metres long.

Once adhered to the hull, decorate it with the new Micro Riveting Tool 17 x 5mm (27320), to produce the heads of the nails that would have attached the copper plates. 

These copper plates were fitted on ship hulls since the 18th century. This protection served to prevent mollusks and other marine creatures from attaching to the hull, and this improved the long term streamlining of the boats hull.
