This Micro Riveting Tool for 17x5 mm, belonging to the Micro Tools Collection, is the perfect tool for decorating the hulls of the ship models and other models and crafts!

It is used to mark on the 5mm Copper Adhesive Tape (27595) -sold separately. 

This fantastic new tool is used to give realism to the copper finish on the hull of any ship model. It allows the modeller to mark on the tape the heads of the nails with which the copper plates were nailed to the hull. This construction technique of working the hulls below their waterline began in the mid-18th century to prevent mollusks and other marine animals from attaching themselves to the hull. These attachments dramatically reduced the streamlining of ships in water.
