Fiat G-91 PAN Preserie , Aerobatic Teams Collection. Scale 1:48

ITA-2740 - Italeri

The Fiat G -91 was an interesting project, designed in the '50s by the Italian engineer  Giuseppe Gabrielli , to develop a light fighter bomber able to perform ground close support and reconnaissance duties.

The project was particularly interesting to several NATO Countries looking for a light, small, low cost, but reliable and manoeuvrable strike fighter.

Further more, some pre-production converted machines were used by the Italian aerobatic team, the Frecce Tricolori, and this variant was known as G-91 PAN.

In 1963, the G-91, equipped with smoke generators replaced the rather old F-86 Sabre, and equipped the aerobatic team for almost 20 years. With the characteristic “Frecce Tricolori” blue livery, the G-91 PAN was the protagonist of the most important airshows and events in the ‘60s and ‘70s.

After 20 years of success, the G- 91 was replaced by the new Aermacchi MB-339.

Glue and paint are required but are not included.
