BEE-24023 - Beemax Models
The Mitsubishi Starion was released in 1982 and was modified to make it eligible to commpete in the Japanese Group A Touring Car races. It had a low drag co-efficient because of its low gravity and excellent design of aerodynamics. The front and rear McPherson struts were reinforced as was the brake and steering systems.
Ralliart was the racing department of Mitsubishi and in Ralliart livery the Starion took 4th place in the 1985 Fuji round of JTC. The car had a single overhead camshaft four cylinder turbocharged engine.
The racing team was taken over by Nova Engineering for the 1987 season with STP race livery and the Starion was successful in Round 1 and 2 of that Championship series.
The model kit has 10 plastic sprue trees moulded in white plastic with additional separate pieces for the body, chassis and tyres. There are decals for both the earlier Ralliart racing livery or the later STP team colours.
Paint and glue are required to complete (not included).
