AFV-SE73502 AFV Club. German U-Boat Type VII B, 1:350 Scale
German U-Boat Type VII B. 1:350 Scale
AFV-SE73502 - AFV Club
The Type VII U-Boat first appeared in 1936 as the A model. It was the most successful submarine of the Second World War and formed the backbone of the German U-Boat force.
The vessel had great range, sea worthiness, armament and maneuverability to conduct an anti-shipping war in the North Atlantic. Also, it was cheap to build and could be built quickly using mass production techniques.
A total of 709 Type VII U-Boats were built during the war, with 24 of these being the Type VII B.
This model is petite and has fewer than 35 parts with many of these parts, like the railings are extremely well replicated and are as good, if not, superior to the photo etched parts.
The decals allow the model to built with the "Bull of Scapa Flow" insignia or Otto Kretschmer's U-Boat 99.
